Well, if you haven't heard there is a new thing on the market called "Smash" by K and Company. It is a journal where you smash your thoughts, ideas, inspiration, anything and everything. So I wanted to buy it but either it was out of stock or Sold Out. So I decided to make my own...hey why pay for it when I can make it myself, besides, we have a lot of paper, I am a paper hoarder, aren't we all, so I went thorugh my organizers to choose paper that I like, but won't use it for scrapbooking or cardmaking. I started cutting paper, 8.5 X 5.5, I also found some chipboard and cut it 9 x 6, embossed kraft paper and glued it on the chipboard, made some pockets in the inside cover and the back cover. I used paint dabber to glue a piece of transparency to the front of my book. I also decorated some cardstock with Rub-Ons that I had from Bo-Bunny and Glitz. Then made some pocket pages, and finally started sorting out the papers and where to put what in whatever order and so on. The I took my Bind It All and made the holes in each and every page, and looped the wire and VOILA!! Here it is...enjoy!

K & Company saco un producto llamado Smash es un jornal/diario donde pones tus pensamientos, ideas, inspiracion, en fin de todo un poco. Trate de comprarlo en varias ocasiones y nada, pero se me ocurrio que en vez de gastar dinero, por que no hacerlo Yo misma? Si tengo miles de papeles, por que eso hacemos coleccionar papel, no? Pues escogi de los papeles que me gustan pero que sabia no iba a usar para mis paginas de scrapbooking, y me puse a cortar y cortar, a 8.5 X 5.5, prepare paginas con bolsillo, otras les puse rub ons. Las portadas las hice con carton 9 x 6. Use hasta "paint Dabber" para pegar una transparencia. Luego me sente a ver donde ponia cada papel y en que orden lo queria. Use mi Bind It All, le hice las perforaciones y luego inserte su alambre y ya esta listo!!! Espero lo disfruten.

La Apertura del evento de scrapbooking, fue el Sabado 11 de junio de 2011, y como en Puerto Rico se hace mejor, y Memory Box tambien, Yamille nuestra anfitriona nos sorprendio con una batucada para mover nuestros cuerpos antes de comenzar las clases. En este evento hay mucha musica y bailoteo, y si ganaste una rifa o sorteo, tienes que bailar para recibir tu premio.

The Opening of the scrapbooking event was on Saturday, June 11th, and ike our Motto, Puerto Rico Does It Better, as well as Memory Box does, Yamille our host surprised us with a Batucada to move our bodies before going to class. At this event there is music and dancing and if you win a raffle you have to dance to get your prize!!!

El fin de semana pasado, 10 al 12 de junio estuve participando del Puerto Rico Scrapbook Event...The Iron Edition. Participe en el grupo VIP, el viernes comenzamos 3 horas de clase con TIM HOLTZ!!!!!!!!!!!WOW....un chico sumamente organizado, profesional, chevere, agradable...en fin no hay nada negativo que decir de el, es unico!!! La clase fue un canvas lleno de tecnicas, donde probamos practicamanete cada uno de sus productos, como usarlos realmente, que a veces las escrapbukeras creemos saber ciertas cosas, y que va, algunos productos no sabemos las posibilidades que tienen. Sali con tantos goodies de esta clase, 2 libretas de papel de Tim Holtz, un bultito de Ranger, donde puedes guardar tus brochas, tijeras etc, y el centro se puede utilizar para echarle agua y limpiar tus pinceles, otro bultito con 1 Distress Inks, 1 Distress Crackle Paint, mini botellita de Glossy Accents, otra mini botellita de Studio Matte Medium (este es el mejor producto, muy versatil), Distress Stickles, Acrylic Paint Dabber, y un Distress Stain, aparte de todas las cositas que usamos para el proyecto de su linea ideology, llaves, botellitas de cristal, cintas cuanto gadget. Luego tomamos una clase con Margie Romney-Asslet, preparamos un mini album de pendants con su linea Girls Paperie, que se va ya que ella ahora tiene una nueva linea, que pronton van a saber cual es. Y para finalizar el dia tuvimos una clase con las Glitz Girls, Laura y Ginger, donde preparamos un cuadro en canvas, con gesso, pintura negra, stencils, papel, flores y todo. Terminamos el dia con un coctel en el Hotel Sheraton del Centro de Convenciones de Puerto Rico, donde pudimos compartir con todos los maestros, tomarnos fotos con ellos y me firmo Tim Holtz su libro...WHOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Muchas rifas tambien!!!!La pasamos super!!!

Last weekend was the Puerto Rico Scrapbook Event...the Iron Edition, 10-12 June 2011, I was on the VIP group which started on Friday with special classes. The first class, a 3 hour class, was with TIM HOLTZ!!!!!!!!WOW... he is so organized, profesional, nice, cool, tehre is nothing negative to say about him, he is definitely unique! We made a canvas, his techniques and his products. Sometimes we scarpbookers think we know everything, and sometimes we don't, he utilizes products in so many ways, possibilities are endless. When we finished he gave us 2 paper pads, 12x12 his line of course, a craft bucket(craft tote and water bucket), another bag with a Distress Ink, Distress Crackle Paint, Distress Satin, Acrylic Paint Dabber, mini bottle of Glossy Accenst, another mini bottle of Studio Matte Medium, Distress Stickles, plus of course we used a lot of different products from his Ideology line. The we took a pendant Album Class with Margie Romney, with her line of paper Girls Paperie, which is no longer, now she has a new company and paper line, which is not yet available. And to end the classes of the day, we had a Canvas class with the Glitz Girls, we used a Canvas, Gesso, black Paint, paper and flowers. To end the wonderful day we had a cocktail with all the teachers, we mingled with them, took photos, and Tim signed my book!!!!!!!!!!!There were a lot of raffles!!! I Had a blast!!!!!!!!!

Esta tarjeta la hice en Junio 2010, para regalarla a mi papa en el Dia de los Padres y se me habia olvidado que la tenia fotografiada. Asi que la comparto con ustedes. Los papeles son de Close To My Heart, embelishments son the Close To My Heart pero el sello es me parece de Hero Arts, y lo coloree con Copics. Es bien sencilla pero mi papa es sencillo, y aunque es una tarjeta medio girly es que yo soy la chica de papa...

This a card I made last June 2010, to give it to my dad on Father's Day, and I completely forgot that I had taken a picture. So I am sharing it with you. The card is very simple, but my dad is very simple, and even though the card looks kinda girly it is just because I am daddy's girl...

Potty Training

En enero a Larimar le dio con empezar su Potty Training....pero la fiebre se le quito. Pero luego de varios meses, esta ultima semana finalmente esta pidiendo ir al bano mas frecuente!!! Yes!!!! Los panales estan muy caros y con otra bebe en camino en 2 meses necesito que logremos que vaya sola al bano o que al menos deje los panales. Asi que les dejare saber luego como va la chica.

On January, Larimar tried Potty Training, but then she decided to let go...;But finally after a few months she is back on training, she is asking to go to the bathroom more frequently!!! Oh Yeah! Hey, diapers are $$$ pricey, and with another baby coming in 2 months, I need her to go by herself or at least go with someone, and forget about the diapers once and for all. So I will let you know how She is doing.

Wow desde marzo no escribo en mi blog....para las que no lo saben es que resulta que estoy embarazada, y he tenido una tremenda mala barriga, ademas de tener que aceptar que venia otra baby al mundo no fue facil, no tenia ganas de nada, pero estoy de vuelta y ya estoy aqui.
Es una nina, se va a llamar Kamila, ya que mi nena Larimar desde un principio dijo que era nena y que se iba a llamar Kamila, se imaginan una pibe de 2 anos diciendo que era nena y como se iba a llamar!!! Pero la pego... Se supone que estoy para el 21 de noviembre, luego me dijeron que el 18, ahora me dicen que el 15 y luego me dijeron que el 12 de noviembre, pero esta nena no se esta quieta asi que pienso que me voy a adelantar y sera para la ultima semana de octubre. Veremos...

Wow! I cant' believe it I haven't been able to write on my own blog...but for those of you that may or may not know, I'm pregnata, and it has been morning, mid and afternoon sickness, it has been really bad for me this time around, plus I had to accept the fact that I was going to have another baby, I didn't want to do anything, but I am back and I'm here. It's going to be a girl (another one), her name will be Kamila, it was my kid Larimar who said that she was going to be a girl and that her name would be kamila, can you imagine a 2 year old girl, telling you that the baby mommy is carrying is going to be a girl and that her name will be Kamila!!!But she was right...At first doctors told me my due date was on Novemnber 21st, then changed it to the 18th, then 15th, then the 12th, but this baby is super hyper, so I think she will be due on the last week of october. So we'll see...

Kilimanjaro Safari

Otra vez, posteando otro Layout, este sin embargo, es inspirado en un layout hecho por otra persona en una tienda de scrapbook en Puerto Rico. Lo que esta casi exacto es el arbol. Las siluetas de animales las hice mas pequenas que el layout original y las ubique en la misma pagina del Layout para poder tener espacio para fotos grandes y mas fotos. El fondo tiene 2 papeles de Vellum. Esto es en el Safari de Animal Kingdom en Disney.

Again posting another layout, but this one is inspired in another layout made bya another person at a scrapbook store in Puerto Rico. What is almost exact to the original layout is the Tree. The animal silhouttes I made them smaller and arranged them on the same page as the tree, so it is my version piece, so that I could arrange for more photos. The background is made using 2 different types of vellum. This was on Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Es creado con una coleccion nueva de papeles de American Crafts, Backyard. Espero lo disfruten. Ah!, las fotos son en el Hotel Pop Century de Disney.

Larimar's Birthday

El 30 de enero mi chica, Larimar, cumplio 2 anitos, pero el party grande fue el 1 de febrero en Villa Campestre(Petting Zoo, interaccion con animales y machinas). Como estoy tomando clases de Reposteria Basica (para confeccionar bizcochos de Cumpleanos y Bodas y lo basico de azucarados) aproveche y le hice 2 bizcochos. Asi que veran algunas fotos del cumpleanos y de los bizcochos, asi como cajitas creadas con Cardstock de Close To My Heart, la Cricut Expression y los Cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More y Mickey & Friends, los mismos estaban rellenos de Mantecaditos.

On January 30th my little girl, Larimar, it was her second year, but the big party was on February the First at Villa Campestre which is a petting zoo where they interact with animals, learn about them and have carnival machines. Since I am taking Basic Bakery so that I can make Wedding Cakes, and Birthday cakes and the Basics of Frostings and decoration, I made 2 different cakes. So You will see some pics from the Birthday and the Cakes, as well as boxes made with The Cricut Expression, CTMH cardstock, and the following Cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More and Mickey & Friends, these boxes had shortbread cookies.

Wow! Ya mi bebe se esta poniendo grande, ya va a cumplir 2, a fin de este mes!!!! Esta bellla, chulisima hecha una sin verguenza, super simpatica y alegre. y Hoy al fin logre que me dijera que tenia ganas de ir al bano y logramos que hiciera pis(pipi) ella tenia una emocion y no queria que le aplaudiera, me reganaba y todo!!!! Pero, Ella misma al terminar dijo "Bravo!!!!"

Wow! My baby isn't so baby anymore, She is definitely growing up, she will be 2 at the end of the month!!!!She is so beautuful, cute, and in her terrible two's, oh yeah!, very outgoing, and a happy kid. Finally, today She said Mamma, pipi, so we we went to the bathroom and She did it!! I started clapping and she said NO,NO,NO,NO!!! She did not want to be praised at the moment LOL, But then She said, "BRAVO!!!!!!"

Playhouse Disney Live! On Tour

On December 13th, 2008, Playhouse Disney Live! came to Puerto Rico, and since I am a Disney Fan and of course my daughter Larimar has the same gene LOL, we went to the Show. These are just a few pictures that we took, of Mickey Mouse, Tigger, Pooh and Darby, and a Photo taken there with a Handy Many made from Foam. Also I have included a clip of my daughter Larimar dancing in her seat.

El 13 de diciembre de 2008, Playhouse Disney Live! visito a Puerto Rico, Y por supuesto yo soy una fiel admiradora de Disney, y claro esta lo que se hereda no se hurta, mi hija Larimar tambien es una fanatica, y la llevamos al show. Estas son solo algunas fotos de Mickey, Tigger, Pooh, Darby y una foto que le tomaron en el Lobby con un Handy Many hecho en foam. Tambien les incluyo unos clips de video de Larimar bailando desde su asiento.
